More and more, subscribers want us to suggest itineraries for them. We are glad to do this if we are given the parameters. We need to know the length of the trip, whether the preference is for fishing streams or stillwaters or both, if guides are needed, cost restraints and any other personal needs.
The cost of generating an itinerary depends on the time needed to research the possiblities and the amount of personal consultation. Rates begin at $150 for a week's trip with multiple locations. The information contains waters where to fish, when to fish, places to stay and choices of accommodations.

The Old Lewiston Inn, 530-778-3385, PO Box 688, Deadwood Road, Lewiston, CA 96052
When we fish the Trinity River, we often choose to stay at the Old Lewiston Inn, a B&B catering to anglers. The Inn is ideally located on the stream just a short distance upstream of the Old Lewiston Bridge in the Catch-and-Release stretch of the river. Besides the upper river, guests staying at the Inn are short driving distances to Lewiston Lake, Grass Valley Lake, the Trinity River by Douglas City and many trout filled waters in the surrounding mountains.

Sugar Creek Ranch Callahan, CA, Reservations and Guest Services through The Fly Box, 530-222-3555
Now under New Management, with a solid effort to restore this legendary northern California private fishery. Sugar Creek Ranch is in northern California about thirty miles due west of Mount Shasta. We have found the fishing challenging and the trout in the best condition of any managed fishery we have visited. With stealth and careful presentation, it is possible to catch a rainbow larger than ten pounds on a dry fly. Our report on Sugar Creek Ranch appeared in VOL. VI, #6, November 1997.

Henry's Fork Lodge, HC 66, Box 600, Island Park, ID 83429, 208/ 558-7953, fax 208/558-7956 (during fishing season)
One of the finest wild trout streams in the West is the Henry's Fork of the Snake River below Island Park Reservoir in Idaho. As the Henry's Fork flows through Harriman State Park and downstream, it is mainly renown for its dry fly fishing for big, selective rainbows. Sitting on a promontory overlooking the river about three miles downstream of the Osborn Bridge is the Henry's Fork Lodge.
The Inside Angler reported on Henry's Fork Lodge in Volume II, Number 6, November 15, 1993.
